Arktikum is an ideal spot to begin your northern expedition. The exhibitions by the Regional Museum of Lapland and the Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland offer experiences and knowledge from an Arctic perspective.

Finland on the coast of the Arctic Ocean

Petsamo, or Pechanga, was part of Finland in 1920–1944. The region’s history is a fascinating and significant part of the history of the independent Finland. Get a taste of the exhibition here.

Hildur Larsson’s biographical exhibition features around 300 historical photographs from Rovaniemi and Lapland.
