For Children & Families
For a smooth and enjoyable visit
Welcome to Arktikum, children and families! Here you can explore the fascinating Arctic and the enchanting Lapland. These few tips will help make your day run smoothly.
- The childcare room is located on the right after the ticket sales and the shop. The same space also functions as a first aid room. The childcare room includes a child-sized toilet seat, a chair, a microwave, and a changing table. The childcare room has strollers available to borrow. Please note that the number of strollers is limited.
- Arktikum’s exhibitions are designed to be experienced together by both adults and children. Please move calmly to avoid injuring yourself, others, or the exhibition items. In all Arktikum spaces, children remain the responsibility of their parent or other accompanying adult.
- Please follow the instructions given by staff. You can always ask the staff if you have any questions.
- There are many things for children to see and do in the exhibitions. The taxidermy animals and other museum objects and displays may look inviting, but please do not touch them. There are many other things you can touch and do, especially in the Science Centre exhibition.
During your visit, you can also stop by Arktikum Café for a snack or lunch. The Arktikum Café lunch buffet for children aged 3–12 is €9.00. Check the café’s opening hours and the daily lunch menu here.
Arktikum offers experiences for the whole family all year round. Come, explore, and get inspired together!
