Open Doors Day at Arktikum on Saturday, May 23, 2026

Arktikum will host an Open Doors Day on Saturday, May 23, from 10 AM to 6 PM. The programme includes guided tours and a workshop, among other activities. Admission to the exhibitions is free throughout the day. Welcome to experience the fascinating exhibitions at Arktikum!

Programme of the day:

12–2 PM Workshop: Create your own snowflake
In Lapland, you might spot snow even in the middle of summer but the most reliable place to find it is at Arktikum Science Centre! Come and craft your own snowflake between 12 and 2 PM. You can also go on an animal hunt. How many animals can you find in the exhibition? The workshop location will be announced later.

11 AM & 2 PM Guided tours Walokuvaaja Hildur exhibition (Guided tours in Finnish)

Paint your own Northern Lights, admire nature photography of the year, and explore the history of Rovaniemi at Arktikum’s exhibitions. Admission to the exhibitions is free throughout the day. See all exhibitions here.

Arktikum Café is open from 11 AM to 3 PM (no lunch served).
